The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a less crowded and more adventurous trekking destination within Nepal. Manaslu trekking region is located in the Northern part of Nepal. Standing at 8,156 m (26,759 ft) Mt. Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world. The Manaslu trekking region has been open for trekking since 1992 and offers a combination of rich culture heritage, unsurpassed beauty and biological diversity. Manaslu has a unique environment and an exceptionally rich bio-diversity, which have made this region one of the finest tourist destinations of Nepal for many years. The region consists of many varieties of cultural diversities, natural scenery of the majestic Himalayan ranges, high altitude romantic glacier lakes and fascinating flora and fauna, all these natural and cultural features of this region should make it one of the most popular tourist destinations. The Manaslu region is a restricted area that requires a special trekking permit for foreigners. Main trekking trails of Manaslu region are Tsum Valley, Around Manaslu, Manaslu base camp, Ganesh Himal, Lamjung Himal, and Honey Hunting.
